It’s day two of Teacher Appreciation Week and Get More Math is continuing to spotlight a teacher a day that’s using our software to make a difference in the lives of students.
Yesterday, we profiled Linda Yahr from Owen J. Roberts Middle School – today, let’s get to know April O’Dell from Dover Elementary School. A graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, April teaches 4th-6th grade math and has been a teacher for 11 years.

April - Why did you become a teacher?
What was your most memorable teaching moment?
Watching my students get excited about doing math…because of Get More Math.
Who was your favorite teacher?
I couldn't name just one. Arnett Public School had amazing teachers!!!
What is your favorite GMM feature?
I like that the kids have to get the problems correct and that I get instant feedback when they are struggling with something.
Tell us something unique about yourself.
I want to kayak in Alaska with the whales.
