Riverview IU 6 Round 1 Training
September 22 @ 8:30 am - 2:30 pm UTC+0
We will begin with an in-depth demonstration of the program’s most important features in conjunction with their application in a classroom. We will also showcase some of the outstanding results seen by pilot schools across the state. The training will cover the basics of the program so that each teacher is prepared to immediately implement Get More Math (GMM) in their classroom. All schools new to GMM can take advantage of an unlimited FREE trial for the 2019-2020 school year.
GMM is a tool for teachers to ensure their students learn key mathematical concepts and retain them throughout the school year and beyond. Teachers will learn how to use GMM to enhance their current instructional programs and provide individualized student practice. This training is designed for teachers that have never been trained on the GMM program. We will begin by looking at how Get More Math improves a typical math classroom and give an in-depth demonstration of the program’s most important features. We will discuss best practices for increased success as well as common mistakes to avoid. This program works because it was developed by Josh Britton, a former PA math teacher. Josh created and developed Get More Math while working in his classroom to support initial mastery and long-term retention for grades 4 through Algebra I and Geometry. Participants are required to bring a laptop or a similar device. Lunch will be on your own.
